A guy keeps looking at me, but I'm too shy PDF Print
Written by shanne

I have recently started a new job and on the first day, noticed a really good looking guy sitting at his desk. I recall glancing at him and thinking how nice he was but thought he was out of my league. I'm quite a shy person but would rate myself very attractive in looks and dress.

Shy women should attract loud blokes and shy men should attract loud women. Being shy can stop you from meeting people, but it doesn't stop you from being attractive.

It has got to the point where I fancy him so much that can't look at him when he passes me. I noticed he was glancing at me and I was doing the same to him and at one stage we met in the works kitchen and stuck up a conversation. He told me about putting in his notice that day as he had found a new job and that he was taking his driving test.

All week he and myself have been having sly looks at one another and I really don't want to miss out on the opportunity to get to know him better as he is leaving soon.

If you are both mutually looking at each other, then it sounds very positive. But it sounds as though you don't know each other well enough yet to be able to decide whether you are right for each other.

I am too shy to make a move and cannot handle rejection What do you think I should do, wait for him to make the first move?

I think you should wait for him to make the first move, but you should also try and have as much conversation or contact as possible to help you and him decide whether you are right for each other. And to give him chance to make a move on you. It is not the time to be shy, so you are going to have to make some effort to lose that shyness for a bit. If nothing happens before it is time for him to leave, you could always say to him, I would like to stay in touch here is my mobile number. That way, you are not asking him out but you are stating you want to see him again.

Does it sound as if he is attracted to me?

It's too early to make a judgement, sounds like he likes the look of you, if he keeps looking at you, but whether he fancies the whole package (including your personality), it is too early to tell.
