I desperatley need some help in figuring out
whether my friend/casual partner wants something more serious from me. I'm 20
years old and made friends with a guy from my local karaoke bar in march, he
came up to me and asked to sing a duet with me. I instantly found him
attractive and for the next few weeks he would always sit on a bar stool
directly in front of where I would sit and throw me a smile every now and again
and invite me to dance, the next week he engaged me in conversation whilst i
was being served and when i went to sit down he wrote me a note and passed it
to my friend and it read Why did you walk away? I really like talking to you.
So we began talking, exchanged numbers and even sang a duet together. The next
week I received a text from him asking if we could go for a drink which we did
and then went on to karaoke...after about two weeks he made his move and for
several weeks afterwards would sit next to me constantly. Its been two months
since then and lately he has been getting protective of me and after finding
out his new house mate fancied me after he brought him to karaoke he began
starring at me,
Checking your reactions and making sure you weren't falling for this new guy. dancing provactivley with me in front of the house mate, and when all three of us were walking home (we live on the same street) he kept putting his arm round me and touching my arse in plain view of his house mate.. That is a possessive sign, that she is mine and you'd better not try to get with her mate. he even kissed me goodbye on the lips quite forcefully infront of the house mate....does this guy really want me? Is he marking his territory with the house mate? Yes he is marking his territory and it does sound like he fancies you. It's just a bit bizarre how you don't know you are an item yet. It could be that he thinks you want to move slowly or he wants to move slowly. So whilst you are meeting up all the time and going out together you are gradually getting to know each other. Then once that has happened for a while, he will then officially say, will you be my girlfriend. Everything that you say suggests to me that he fancies you and this is the only option I can think of to explain his behaviour. Like he doesn't want to push you and say lets be a couple and meet up everyday, he wants you both to just fall into a relationship without it being said.
