Is it possible to make him see me as girlfriend material? Theres this guy I really fancy in my art class and we get on sooo well, but the problem is we both fancied other people within that class and got rejected, lol. Anyway, he still jokenly flirts with her when we go out and stuff. Should I call it quits or do i have chance with him (we are both attractive and he always compliments me)
The fact that he still flirts with her suggests he's not really over her. In order to go out with someone meaningfully, he really needs to get over her. Because he could go out with you to get her jealous or because he can't have her, but really he should be going out with you because he wants to go out with you more than anyone else. P.s Im 21 and he's 30 The fact that there is a significant age difference between you and you say you are attractive, significantly increases the chance that he fancies you. Paying compliments to you again, is very suggestive of that. I think you need to give it time for the relationship to progress before making any moves. You need to be patient with him and ensure he makes a move when he is ready. You need to flirt occasionally with him, to make him realise you are not just a friend but could be a potential for getting naughty with. You also need to step back occasionally and take an overview of the situation, don't just throw yourself at him. This is not a process that can be rushed, if you rush things you will more than likely run into a short term relationship and then scratch your head wondering why it didn't work out. You also need to make him feel good about himself every now and then or give him encouragement about things, but don't go over the top, only a few occasions are best, then withdraw and take an overview of the situation.
