Well I don't have any major problems with men at the moment, thank goodness! but I want to know a bit more about what men find attractive.  First of all, hairstyles:  I have long, dark, wavy hair that usually gets me good compliments from men. 

Men love long hair, it makes a lady look more feminine.  Sometimes women do suit short hair, but in general the shorter the hair the more like a ladette the woman looks.  Wavy hair, well that depends on your hair texture and hair colour.  Sometimes wavy hair can look a right mess, if the woman has the wrong texture of hair or the wrong hair colour.

But i'm thinking of having a fringe cut, ala-Kate Moss, to hide a small scar and some lines i have on my forehead. 

Whatever you do, try your best not to look like Kate Moss.  If you think it might make you look like Kate Moss then avoid it at all costs, she's not attractive whatsoever.  Back to the fringe thing, with fringes it depends on the size of your forehead, the style of your hair and the texture of your hair and your hair colour.  Different women suit different styles.   I think with hairstyles it's a case of experimenting.  Have your hair done, if people like it and if you feel positive with that hair cut then you know it's fine.  If you find that people hate it, then go back and get another hair cut as soon as possible.  You will have bad hair episodes but if you experiment, you will find the hair styles that suit you and make you feel confident and attractive to guys.  Obviously you need to think of covering up your scars and your lines and hair is a good way of doing that.

Do men generally like a fringe on a girl or not? 

It depends, it's a matter of whether it suits the lady and suits her hairstyle.  A fringe can prove pretty annoying if he leans over to kiss you and gets your hair in his face.  A fringe can also be pretty annoying if it covers your eyes, because he can't give you good eye contact, if he can't give you good eye contact then you will struggle to attract a guy.

Secondly, I don't have great legs, they are really short and a little bit plump although i am not overweight...

It doesn't really matter too much.  Most women never have a perfect body and even when they do, it generally makes a man feel slightly insecure about having such an attractive, perfect woman.  I don't think guys really go for ultra perfect women, as long as you have some assets and you show those assets off, that's all that matters.  In your case you want to distract attention away from your legs and towards other areas of your body.  You are right, it's been proven scientifically that men prefer longer legs, but only to a certain length, there comes a time when legs are too long.  So he doesn't like short legs, nor does he like really, really long legs.  

I always wear jeans or pants and emphasise my big boobs with a low-cut top, do you think this is a good thing or do guys prefer girls to show off their legs even if they don't look so great? 

I think if you show off your boobs a guy will be too distracted by them, to really notice your legs.  You need to show off your assets in the best possible way, and obviously your boobs are your assets.  I don't really recommend low cut tops as such, they do attract men, but they typically distract men away from your face and eyes and towards your chest, this makes you into a sexual object, rather than a relationship prospect.  Yes, it's good to make your bust look average in size and emphasize that you are female and have ample size boobs, but to virtually undress yourself by showing most of your boobs is not the most positive of things, unless you just want to attract a guy for sex.

Thirdly, do you think in general girls look hotter with lipstick or with a see-through lip gloss?

See through lip gloss.  Women need to bring out the glow in their natural lip colour.  When women put on lipstick they can get the wrong colour or apply too much.  What you are trying to do with your lips is mimic sexual attraction.  When a woman is sexually attracted to a man, the blood rushes from her stomach (hence that feeling in your stomach) and other organs, to the sexual tissues like the lips.  This causes the lips to turn a bright red colour, because of the enhanced amount of blood flow.  So that's what you are trying to mimic. 

All too often you see women wearing a pink lipstick or a colour that doesn't match them, what this does is moves the lips towards looking like they have got good blood flow to making the lips look like they are wearing lipstick.  If you look like your wearing lipstick then you have got things very wrong, you most probably look like a clown (that's probably a bit of an exaggeration, but I have seen a minority of women looking very much like a clown, including news reporters on TV, women don't get it wrong often but when they do it looks bizarre. The late Anna-Nicole Smith RIP was a classic woman that used to go over the top when applying the wrong colour and too much lipstick).

So any lipstick you do buy has got to fit in with your lip colour and your skin colour.  The best way to do this is to add lip gloss which makes your lips shine and makes your lips look naturally red with their own natural colour.  That's what I believe anyway, lipstick manufacturers will probably tell you something different and it's important to remember I've never applied lipstick to a woman before.  I'm only giving you a male point of view.  Now I think about it, I have seen women apply lipstick and lip gloss a few times before in my presence.  It usually turns me on big time, the way they pout their lips, look in the mirror and just the intimacy of seeing them do it.  But really I know nothing really about how it's applied, I just know when it looks good and when it doesn't look good.
