Ive been going to this acting class for 5 weeks and I notice that I was getting the eye from one of the hot guys. Finally, last week we started chatting and we exchanged numbers (we had to be discreet as we were with fellow thespians),

after that we went to club (once again the thespians were there) and there was loads of flirting, touching and hugging. Anyway, he asked me on saturday if i wanted to go to a club next week, but now its wednesday and he hasn't rang me yet.

So what, it isn't the end of the week yet, does he have to book you in advance?  He could be waiting to make sure nothing else comes up.

Oh yeah, he sent me a text when I was going home to check if I got home safely and also wrote that he would see me soon.  What does this mean?

He just wanted to emphasize the fact that he cared and he wanted to make sure you were ok to see him soon, he wanted some re-assurance and so I hope you text back to give him that re-assurance. 

Has he regretted about what happened on saturday and how should I act when I go to this weeks class.

Nope, he wouldn't have text you afterwards if he regretted asking you.  He cares about you and wanted the reasurrance from you, that you were keen to meet up.  If he isn't in contact, then it's more than likely he feels you were not bothered or something else has come up which he can't avoid.

Also, is age an issue as Im 21 and he's 25.

Nope, they are certainly very good ages.  He's older and there's 4 years difference, guys like younger, youthful looking women.  Also you've reached 21, so you should be more mature, you are probably getting to the age, where nightclubs maybe something you do, but you are not going to be obsessed with them for many more years.  Guys don't particularly want a long term relationship from someone who goes nightclubbing regularly and gets drunk regularly.  He might like a ride off them but certainly women younger than 21 tend to be a bit immature and constantly go on about getting drunk and mortalled, which is not attractive.  Whereas you are 21 and are more likely to be beyond the drunken nightclub stage within a few years.
