He said to someone else he has family and a girl, but he looked at me as he was saying it PDF Print
Written by lubbyloo

This guy I really fancy was asked by someone once (I was listening/not involved in conversation) 'if he had family'? He said, 'yes he did- he had a girl.' But I thought it was odd he didn't look at the person who asked the question as he answered them. But his eyes went straight to me, & automatic stared intensley at me for several moments, embarrasingly while everyone else was watching.

I'm confused, or maybe I'm a bit slow on the up take what he's trying to communcate here. Is he politely saying in his way, he's not available or interested & telling me to back off, because I would be breaking up a family & I have no chance with him? Or he IS interested, but warning me what I will be taking on board, if we take it further, & is putting the ball in my court??

If he said it quietly, he could have been hoping you didn't hear.  If he said it clearly then he was clearly trying to tell you something.  I reckon what he was trying to do was save him having to tell you but also checking out your reaction to the news.  Did you look uncomfortable with the news, that sort of thing.  If he is still in this relationship, then I reckon he was saying that if you made a move on him, bare in mind it would only be about a sexual fling because I have a girl and family.

Also, I found out one day from friends, that they'd heard a massive argument between the guy I secretly fancy & a more younger, attractive male colleague, who I innocently talk to. The guy I fancy was the one who was angry & arguing with the other guy, & is in a more responsible/higher position.

My friends didn't say what/who the arguement was about when I/others asked. My friends just had these very amused looks on their faces & kept giggling right at me. I got the impression or it suggested to me something had been said or the argument was over me, but my friends seemed nervous about saying anything to anyone who this extremely heated argument was about.

I don't think I can really say either way that the argument was about you.  It appeared to you from everyones body language it was an argument over you, but I wasn't there, so I can't really tell you definitely.

The guy I fancy, never told me about the argument or pulled me up about talking to the other colleague & I never saw the younger guy around working, after that. But the guy I fancy continued to talk to me as usual, if not more so.

If it was a fight over you, it looked like he won.

I don't know if their argumemt is any indication of he/both were jealousy & fighting over me, or issues to do with something else, i.e work ethics etc??? I envy my mates & what they heard. I wish I had been a fly on the wall of that office to find out what had been said between these two men possibly about me. I guess I will never know now, unfortunately, but I can't help wondering!

I can't really give you any answers because I'd only be guessing.
