If you don't have the courage to ask him
out, then you need to at least have the courage to speak to him or give
him a chance to speak to you. Don't think of him as a potential
boyfriend just think of him as a potential mate. If you manage to
think of him as a mate, this will make you less nervous around him.
Just imagine you are speaking with a male friend that you do not fancy.
The conclusion that you can devise from
your situation is there is a 50% chance he fancies you and a 50% chance
he fancies your other friend.
Don't presume because you are shy that
men don't fancy shy women. Some women are shy at first but when you
get to know them they open up and are very entertaining.
He may confuse your shyness as meaning
you do not fancy him or he may confuse your shyness as you are playing
hard to get or do not fancy him. He may confuse your shyness as
being someone that is not really interested or noticed him, in which case
you may become a challenge to him and that will make you an even more
attractive option. He may see your shyness as a potential woman
that is an easy target for his charms. There are so many
possibilities.
The fact is that both he and you have to
make the right moves and right decisions to get together (if it is you
that he fancies).
If he looks at you a lot and doesn't look
at your other mate as much then it would have to conclusive that he
fancies you (based on the fact that you said he fancies either you or
your other mate). But it is your friends interpretation about
whether he looks at you a lot, so you will have to rely on their opinion
because I am not their to see your situation.
